Eglise du cœur

Eucharistique

de Jésus

22, rue du Lieutenant-Chaure, 75020 Paris
Built on old backfilled gypsum quarries, the Church of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus is perched ahead of a flight of white steps. Its façade is composed of apparent Saint-Maximin cobblers, sawn and coarsely paired with deep cement joints. It is topped by a square bell tower containing three bells. This tower is transformed into appartments. Its modest dimensions and warm interior give it an air of village church.
E6 The first organ of the church was installed around 1937 (Pleyel, II/17). It was an old house organ built by Cavaillé-Coll. In 1979, it was transferred to the new church by Erwin Muller and re-voiced in 1984 by Jean- Marc Cicchero. Following damage from the great storm of 1999, the instrument was deemed irreparable. In 2007, Pels-Dhont installed a used instrument built in 1947 for the church of Wapenveld (the Netherlands). In 2021, Gaël Coutelier installed a new electronical transmission. The console including its location is also modified . In a second round, the organ will be completely re- voiced (the organ was not changed when it was installed in 2007, exept for the buffet, which was adapted to the tribune of the church). More info
1947 - Anton Pels (Alkmaar, NL) (1) 2007 - Pels-Dhondt (Herselt, B) (5) 2021 - Gaël Coutelier (3a)
